Vacation Watering Solution
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted. Life has been busy, and I’ve been juggling a lot lately. But I wanted to share something exciting that happened during my recent trip.
I was out of town for eight days, and like most growers, leaving plants unattended always makes me a little anxious. Before I left, I decided to try something new to keep them watered while I was gone. I set up AC Infinity large wick watering trays and hoped they’d do the trick.
When I got back, I was honestly amazed at how well the plants looked. They were standing tall, and overall, everything seemed to be in great shape. It was such a relief to walk in and see that my plants had survived my absence.
I did notice a few leaves starting to show signs of drying out. I’m guessing the trays ran out of water a day or two before I got back. Even so, they bounced back quickly with a fresh watering, and there wasn’t any serious damage.
Travel has always been a bit of a challenge for me as a grower. I usually need to leave for work or vacation at least 4-5 weeks a year, and that has often meant losing a plant or two. No matter how much prep I did, it always felt like a gamble. That’s why finding a simple solution like these watering trays has been such a huge relief.
Setting up the trays was pretty straightforward. They’re designed to hold water and use a wick system to deliver moisture to the plants as needed. Once they were in place, I just had to fill them up, and the system took care of the rest.
I can’t tell you how much peace of mind this gave me during my trip. Normally, I’d spend half my vacation worrying about whether my plants were drying out or if I’d come home to a disaster. This time, I was able to actually relax and enjoy myself.
For anyone who has struggled with keeping plants watered during vacations, I definitely recommend giving this method a try. It’s affordable, simple, and most importantly, it works. It may not be perfect, but it’s way better than crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.
I’m so happy I’ve finally found something that lets me step away without stressing too much about my plants. If you’ve used any other watering systems or have tips for keeping plants alive during trips, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s keep the conversation going!
